Hey guys, Sorry I have not been as chatty for the last few blog posts. With the launch of the new Olioboard, time has been very tight for other personal projects. I’m one design behind but I promise to catch up. This olioboard was inspired by the lovely ladies I have afternoon tea parties with. Yes, I like quilting and holding tea parties. Some days I think I relate to grannies more than girls my age. Fortunately for me, so do the ladies that inspired this board.
I don’t think there is a single item on this table that I don’t love. I found the plates in the Layla Grayce collection. I love the simple graphic designs and that each plate isn’t identical. Another great set of plates that caught my eye were insects and sea life 1 found at laurazindel.com. I think they also would have worked really well in this design and the illustrations are amazing!
The fabric was simply too gorgeous to pass up and adds a bold splash of colour to this otherwise neutral palette. It also tied in well with the birdcage serving platter and the wild woodland vase from Anthropologie. When it comes down to finding stunning ceramics, loaded with character, you really don’t need to look any farther than Anthropologie and Jonathan Adler. They are two of my all time favourite brands and always have fun and unique pieces that bring so much more to the table.
On a small note, if you didn’t notice it, please check out the creamer. How fun is that piece? It makes me smile every time. I think I need to get one for my next tea party.
